角旬 · The story
Origins.
There is a word in Japanese — 旬 (shun) —
that means "the perfect moment of ripeness."
The moment when something is exactly what it should be.
Not too early. Not too late.
TSUNO POP was born precisely to reflect Japanese culture in Italy.
NAGOMI is the harmony between the two cultures.
Japanese precision and Italian amaro tradition, fused in a single glass.
Fine spirits and innovative natural beverages.
Japanese elegance, Italian creativity.
01 — The idea
Two worlds.
One glass.
The idea for NAGOMI was born from the observation of a simple, domestic Japanese tradition: the preparation of homemade liqueurs with shochu, sugar and shiso leaves, passed down within families. An everyday gesture, made of balance, time and care.
From this came a question: what happens when this elegance meets the Italian amaro tradition? Amaro, with its structure and its depth. Shiso, with its precise and distinctive aromatic identity. Two different cultures, guided by the same principle: balance.
NAGOMI, in Japanese, means harmony. And that is exactly the meeting point.
02 — Philosophy
Monozukuri.
Consistent quality.
In Japan, Monozukuri — literally "the art of making things" — is a philosophy that goes far beyond simple manufacturing. It is the pursuit of excellence at every stage: craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and deep respect for every element. It is not enough for one bottle to be good. Every bottle must be good.
We work in small batches precisely for this reason. Italian amaro tradition gave us the structure: the bittering botanicals, the maceration technique, the patience. Japan gave us the soul: the care, the precision and the respect for every element.
What we value is the Japanese element in the way we treat it: as a living material, to be respected and interpreted, not replicated industrially.
— The name
角旬
Tsuno Pop
角
TSUNO
"Corner." "Turning point."
In Japanese aesthetics, the corner is where two distinct planes meet, where something changes direction. TSUNO POP exists in this corner: where two cultures intersect.
旬
SHUN / POP
"The perfection of the product."
旬 is the concept of perfection: the idea that every element is exactly what it should be — not based on the season, but on the care with which it was made. It is the principle around which everything at TSUNO POP is built.
The meeting point of two worlds, captured at exactly the right moment.
